Privacy Policy

Rev ("Rev", "we", "us") operates a marketplace for buying and selling cars in Ghana, available as a mobile app and at bigrevs.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Rev is operated by Derrick Dadson.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, and — if you provide them — your name, phone number, company name, and profile photo. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email and name (and, from Google, your profile picture) to create your account.
- Listings and content: the photos, videos, and details you post about a car (make, model, price, mileage, description, location text, and similar).
- Device information for notifications: a push notification token so we can send you alerts (for example, when a buyer is interested in your listing).
- Support communications: messages you send us by email or WhatsApp.
We do not collect your precise device location. The city or area shown on a listing is text that you type in yourself.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To publish your listings and let buyers browse, search, and contact you (by WhatsApp or phone) about a car.
- To display seller information — your name, photo, phone number, and trust score — on your listings so buyers know who they are dealing with.
- To send you notifications about activity relevant to you.
- To review listings, verify identity, calculate trust scores, and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising or tracking.
- Publicly, within the app: your listing details and your seller profile (name, photo, phone number, trust score) are visible to other users so they can contact you about a car.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (R2) to store listing photos and videos; Resend to send email; Apple and Google to provide sign-in; and Expo to deliver push notifications.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Rev and its users.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app (Account or Profile → Delete account). Deleting your account removes your profile, listings, uploaded media, and saved cars. You can also request deletion by emailing us at the address below.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Children
Rev is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the marketplace.
Your choices
- Edit or remove your profile details in the app at any time.
- Turn notifications on or off from your device settings.
- Delete your account and associated data in the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may also be communicated in the app.
